HikeCamp works beautifully offline! Install it directly to your home screen to navigate trails without a signal. No app store required.

iPhone & iPad (Safari)

1. Tap the Share button at the bottom of your screen.
2. Scroll down the menu and tap Add to Home Screen .
3. Confirm by tapping Add in the top right.

Android (Phones & Tablets)

1. Tap the Menu icon in the top right corner of Chrome.
2. Select Install app or Add to Home screen.
3. Follow the on-screen prompt to finish installation.

Laptop / Chromebook (Chrome)

1. Click the 3-dot menu in the top right corner of Chrome.
2. Hover over Save and share (or Cast, save and share) and select Create shortcut...
3. Make sure to tick "Open as window", then click Create.

HikeCamp is proudly privacy-first. We believe your location and hiking habits are your business, not ours.

1. No Tracking

The HikeCamp app does not track your location or usage. Your GPS data is processed entirely locally on your device to show your location on the map and trigger off-route alerts. It is never sent to our servers. We use no analytics.

2. Payment Information

If you purchase a Lifetime Pass, your payment is processed securely via Stripe. We collect your email address solely to deliver your token and receipt. We do not store this on our servers, and the app verifies your purchase using an anonymous, randomly generated device ID.

3. Right to be Forgotten

To request the deletion of your personal purchase data, please email admin@hikecamp.co.uk from the address you used to purchase your pass. We will scrub your contact details from Stripe within 30 days, retaining only the anonymised transaction record required by UK tax law.
